Play Room
A play room is very personal to the therapist, we have often spent many hours searching out toys that resonate with us as well being suitable for children.
The play room, like the sessions, will be set out in the same way each week offering a sense of security and promoting consistency to the child.
As therapists we must create a a secure and safe environment for the child so that they feel comfortable to explore whatever they feel they need to. Therefore rooms stay fully private during sessions with no interruptions for the full 45mins.
The child is free to explore the room however they wish during there session and as a therapist I am there to support, guide, facilitate and explore their journey with them while using the skills and therapeutic toys around me to help them understand what they may be working through.
Play Tool Kit
I have a Varity of toys (we call mediums) within the playroom. They all provide a therapeutic value within a child’s play allowing full exploration into their own thoughts and feelings

· Lego
· Clay
· Arts n craft - including felt tips, crayons, chalks, paints etc
· Musical Instruments
· Stories
