Play Therapy uses a variety of play and creative arts techniques (the Play Therapy Tool-Kit) to alleviate chronic, mild and moderate psychological and emotional conditions in children that are causing behavioral problems and/or are preventing children from realizing their potential.
In simple terms:
· A method of helping children with behavioural and emotional problems to help themselves.
· Play is a child’s natural medium of self expression—its essential for development.
· Opportunity to ‘play out’ their feelings and problems.
· With a therapeutic objective.
